In July and August 2006 I collaborated with Joanna Callaghan on a radio project on Resonance 104.4FM called Show Me The Monet, a six-programme series looking at the issues around art and economy.

Artists, writers, commissioners, curators, gallerists and academics were invited on to the show each week to talk about their own projects in relation to this topic and engage with other guests on the show. The topics covered included: art practice involving generosity; intrinsic, instrumental and institutional valuations of art objects; private versus public patronage of the arts; artists resale royalty rights; the commercial art market and its value; public art commissioning and a panel discussion at the end of the series drawing the disparate threads of these topics together.

The series resulted in For Love and Money, another radio project on Resonance 104.4FM, where creative responses by artists was the emphasis.

More information on Show Me The Monet, including MP3 recordings of each of the shows, can be found in the Show Me the Monet website.
